WHY Yoga?

Initially I attended random classes & practicing yoga always “felt good”. One day my apparent world completely crumbled & with it my entire vision of life, including the perception of my own Self. Nothing and no-one on the outside seemed able to sustain me anymore

Yoga showed me the way IN, where I found only pure love & discovered my inner sanctuary. My soul found its home ~ where it feels safe, at peace, content & free ~ where I will always be able to rest and just BE ~ a place from which I will be able to hold space for others to be themselves too

Ever since there is a strong desire to spread the love & share with the world what I dearly hold in my heart, to serve the dharma & give back to life

So today I would answer that the WHY of anything I do in life is my driving force ~ my purpose ~ that which makes me move forward, break through, dig deep & reach high, carving my own path through the jungle of life ~ and by doing so, hopefully inspire others to do the same

That WHY is that which sustains me, no matter what, solid, deeply rooted, holding the foundations of my innermost core values ~ so I get to confidently show up for myself & others, in service of the greater good

That WHY is the fire that burns deep inside, even in the darkest nights, transforming anything unnecessary into fertile soil for new intentions ~ and eventually that fire sparks others, so we can all pass on the light & together shine bright

That WHY is a sacred promise to myself, my anthem, a song that will carry me all the way through, an inspiration to sing my dreams into reality ~ and together we will be able to touch the heavens & manifest that which seems to be unpalatable

That WHY allows me to surrender & fearlessly drop into the void, into this space of nothingness, acknowledging there is a higher intelligence, which is not graspable by the intellect, which allows me to trust that everything is in divine order ~ that we are all ONE anyways

WHY do you practice yoga?
